EDUCATION

Andrew has had a lifetime of educational experience, and has modeled an educational persona based on humor, variety, and high energy. During his time at Calfornia State University, Fullerton, he volunteered with Project S.H.I.N.E. to assist professors with teaching ESL students English. He also worked with Dr. Pamela Madsen as an Advanced Theory Assistant. During this time, he was able to teach classes unassisted during Dr. Madsen’s absence. He would also teach theory privately to incoming Graduate Students.

After getting his undergraduate degree, he worked as a Bass Section Leader at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Fullerton alongside Music Director Eleanor Nunez to teach the choir music, as well as basic and advanced singing techniques. He has also worked as a Graduate Assistant to Dr. Shan Zusman, where he led Western Music History study groups and has also led a class on the history of musical impressionism. He was also a Graduate Assistant for Dr. Roger Hickman, where he moderated discussions about Film Music and assisted students in their understanding of the genre.

Today, Andrew teaches music at Fairmont Private Schools in Anaheim Hills and North Tustin. He also teaches the Young Musician's Program with the Long Beach Youth Chorus.
